SENIOR CONSULTANT

Job Title:  Senior Consultant

Job Description:  S1 IT Solutions is looking to grow its existing Services/Consulting Practice with the addition of a Senior Consultant.  This position is only for a seasoned and experienced engineer with a proven track record.  This is a fulltime salaried position and travel will be required.  The Senior Consultant needs to have 5 to 10 years of Data Center experience with IBM pSeries and IBM xSeries with skills in AIX, VMware, Microsoft and Linux.  The ideal candidate will be versed in different backup vendors with primary experience in Tivoli Storage Manger.  Ideally the candidate should also have experience in different storage vendors, with the preference being on IBM branded storage. 

Requirements

·Qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems/Technology

·At least 5 years experience with AIX

·At least 3 years experience with PowerVM

·At least 3 years experience with VMware or a competitive virtualization software solution

·Knowledge of Storage Area Networks and IBM branded storage (V7000, SVC, XIV, DS8K, DS5K)

·Experience with different SAN hardware preferred but not required

·Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) utilizing ISCSI

·Must be detail oriented and willing to work as part of a team

·Must be customer service oriented to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction

·Strong troubleshooting, research and communications skills are required

·Ability to multitask on multiple clients' needs is required

·Experience with Backup Solutions & Server hardware preferred

·Frequent travel to customer sites

Certifications and Professional experience (a plus but not required):

Certifications with IBMs storage technology products plus working familiarity in any of the following storage vendors: Left Hand SAN, EMC Storage Solutions and Net App. Other relevant industry certifications and experience a plus.

·         Cisco

·         Brocade
