Successful candidates will have 5 to 10 years of Data Center and SAN design and implementation experience. Candidates must have certifications with IBMs storage technology products plus working familiarity in any of the following storage vendors: Left Hand SAN, EMC Storage Solutions and Net App. Other relevant industry certifications and experience a plus.  This is a full time salaried role with a bonus opportunity. Description:

This is a non-managerial, senior-level position in the S1 IT Solutions consulting and professional services practice, specifically aligned to storage solutions. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-level consultative, infrastructure-related services to clients within the SAN environment, normally on a regional or national scale. (Infrastructure re-engineering projects are common). The SAN consultant identifies marketable services and delivers those services for clients on a billable basis. S/he works with S1 management to identify and market other services to our client base and provide a transition of information and responsibility to the end user.

This position requires frequent travel and the flexibility to work in diverse corporate environments.

Minimum Certifications and Professional experience:

Successful candidates will have 5 to 10 years of Data Center and SAN design and implementation experience. Candidates must have certifications with IBMs storage technology products plus working familiarity in any of the following storage vendors: Left Hand SAN, EMC Storage Solutions and Net App. Other relevant industry certifications and experience a plus.

Service Delivery:

·         Research and evaluate client system and storage infrastructure and architecture; draws conclusions; and develops recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.

·         Identify and resolve project issues with clients.

·         Support sales team with proposal responses, SOW preparation, pre sales efforts

·         Responsible for installation/implementation of SAN solutions.

·         Implement solutions and have ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical storage environments

·         Responsible for SAN switch technology management, storage provisioning, LUN masking, zoning performance management and capacity recommendations

·         Delivers briefings, status reports, presentations, and milestone deliverables to clients and prospects.

·         Promotes and practices teamwork within and with client project personnel.

·         Imposes the highest practical level of quality in all assignments.

·         Identifies, and communicates to the client, the value inherent in work being performed and the importance of each deliverable.

Participates in the Client Marketing and Development Process:

·         Identifies client prospects, and engagement opportunities within those projects.

·         Works with Sales personnel, the Practice Managers, and Management to pursue opportunities.

·         Writes proposal components or letters of understanding, as needed, to respond to RFPs and other marketing situations.

·         Works with the Practice Managers and Management to develop and/or adopt specific techniques for addressing client needs in an assigned area.

·         Cultivates strong client relationships, which lead to further work with existing clients.

Subject Matter expert:

·         Through reading, hands-on experience, coursework, and attendance at briefings and conferences, maintains a current understanding of relevant technical issues. Self-trains at the highest level of intellectual understanding in Best Practices.

·         Although conversant across a wide base of technology, this individual should also have a specific area of expertise, where they could be considered “Expert” level (i.e. IBM Storage, SAN technology). Carrying certifications in one or more of these areas of expertise required.

·         Maintains relationships with vendor personnel at appropriate levels as a resource for obtaining correct and current information about products, strategies, and approaches.

·         Cultivates relationships with partners, suppliers in order to develop and share understanding of technology roadmaps both within S1 IT Solutions and with S1 IT Solutions’ client community.

·         Converts detailed understanding of products and services into S1 IT Solution’s, which are valuable to clients, in a specified area of SAN technology.
