SENIOR VIRTUALIZATION AND STORAGE ENGINEER(S)

Job Title:  Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer(s)

Job Description:  S1 IT Solutions is looking to grow it's existing Virtualization and Storage Practice with the addition of Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineers.  These positions are only for seasoned and experienced engineers with a proven track record.  Successful candidates will be able to work on projects from the pre-sales consultation through ongoing support stages.  Professional interaction with prospective clients, customers, team members, project managers, account managers, and vendors is part of our holistic approach.  Keeping up-to-date with manufacturer study and certifications are a must.

Main Activities

·Assess, design, build and support Virtual Infrastructures (VI) including server and storage platforms

·Assess, design, build and support Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI)

·Conduct research and provide all levels of support for issues pertaining to client's VI

·Develop, implement and maintain client documentation as it relates to VI

·Interact with vendor(s) for problem resolution

·Other tasks as required

Requirements

·Qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems/Technology

·At least 3 years experience with VMware or a competitive virtualization software solution

·Must be detail oriented and willing to work as part of a team

·Must be customer service oriented to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction

·Strong troubleshooting, research and communications skills are required

·Ability to multitask on multiple clients' needs is required

·Experience with Backup Solutions & Server hardware preferred

·Frequent travel to customer sites

The following certifications and/or experience are considered a plus in our selection process:

·VMware

·Citrix

·Net Apps

·IBM

·Microsoft

· 2+ years experience as a lead VMware architect 

·Experience in designing and developing enterprise class VMware and VDI infrastructure environments

· Experience with VMware Lab Manager

· Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) utilizing ISCSI

·Microsoft and Linux Server OS experience

·Java, C++, Scripting languages are a plus
