Maintenance Consolidation
IBM CUSTOMERS:
In an effort to simplify the management of manufacturer maintenance, as well as save money, S1 will work with you to review and consolidate your maintenance under one agreement. Over time, many companies have initiated multiple IBM maintenance contracts for equipment on a machine-by-machine basis as they were acquired. This process can result in multiple agreements (from IBM) for monthly, quarterly and annual billing, and managing the invoices alone can be a full time job. We can help!
How Do We Help
After helping you compile a list of all of your installed equipment, we first analyze the current status of each of your machines. We will then determine warranty status, contract type, renewal date and other pertinent information that will help our analysis. We will then provide you with a complete report on the status of each of your machines and a recommended course of action.
Streamlining Your Maintenance
Our recommended course of action typically includes consolidating agreements into one, prepaid maintenance quote. This quote will save most customers a great deal of money because of discounts available on prepaid maintenance agreements. It will also allow you to avoid price increases for the period of the agreement. IBM has already announced that they plan to raise maintenance fees annually over the next two to three years.
Additions or Removals of Equipment
Additions and deletions of equipment from the agreement are conducted as follows: When you add new equipment, an addendum to your current agreement is made co-terminus to its termination date. This allows your organization to continue to maintain a single agreement with a single termination date. Equipment no longer needed or removed from service prior to termination of the agreement will be credited based on the time left on the agreement.
