Avaya IP Wireless Telephone Solutions integrate with both IP and non-IP enabled Avaya Communications Systems over most 802.11b networks and can scale to support very large numbers of mobile users. With industry-standard 802.11b network compatibility, customers gain the efficiency of converged voice and data on a single wireless infrastructure with flexible support for both direct sequence and frequency hopping 802.11 technologies.

This solution offers extensive flexibility and scalability. From its Open Application Interfaces and field-upgradeable telephones, to its support for industry-standard 802.11b networking and easy integration with Avaya DEFINITY® Servers, Media Servers, and Communication Manager Software, Avaya IP Wireless Telephones are adaptable to meet customers needs. This helps optimize valuable infrastructure investments by enabling growth to adapt to changing business requirements.

There are three primary components required when implementing Avaya IP Wireless Telephone Solutions:

• Avaya Wireless Voice Priority Processor (AVPP)
• Avaya 3616, 3620 or 3626 IP Wireless Telephones
• NetLink 150 Telephony Gateway for use with non-IP enabled Avaya Communication Systems

There are three versions of the Avaya Wireless Voice Priority Processor; the original AVPP which supports up to 80 simultaneous users, the AVPP 10 which supports up to ten users, and the AVPP which supports up to 20 users.
