S1 delivers Disaster Recovery plan plus peace of mind to Medical Center Hospital.
MCH came to S1 for help in enhancing its Disaster Recovery plan for its mission-critical systems. As the hospital becomes increasingly paperless, and now must meet stricter federal regulations, it felt it was time to conduct a health check to test the recoverability of its IT infrastructure in the event of an actual disaster. MCH now has a documented process for disaster recovery and the peace of mind that comes from knowing its mission-critical data is safe and retrievable. MCH meets the governmental requirements necessary for accreditation, and it has the assurance that hospital operations would remain up-and-running in the event of a disaster.

How effective archiving transformed a courthouse into a customer-service hub
County governments are responsible for storing and processing vast amounts of courtroom-related data every day. An Idaho county sought help from S1 in overhauling its system for storing data. Until 2002, the county's personnel and their vast stores of data were spread out among many locations across the county. Files were shuttled by courier between locations, and the lack of a consolidated repository for data made it extremely difficult to access stored information in a timely fashion. The county partnered with S1 to develop a streamlined central repository for all its data. The new system uses a combination of storage media: disks for information that's accessed often, and tape for archived material.
